Inventables组织了首届学生设计竞赛。注册后会得到竞赛所需的材料和技术资料,针对在校生或2005年后毕业的学生。
关于竞赛的主题&要求: Observe. At Inventables we believe design
should start by identifying unmet user needs. It is important to consider not
only how products are used, but also the context in which they are used. To best
understand this go out into the field and observe. Take notes and pictures to
document your findings. Learn. Entry to the competition gives you ONLINE
access to 20 of our materials. Review all the materials and technologies
provided by Inventables. The idea here is to stock your subconscious with new
possibilities. Inventables researches technologies with unexpected properties.
This makes it good for both direct applications as well as inspiration for fresh
ideas. Brainstorm. Starting with a well crafted problem statement
brainstorm solutions to the unmet user need you identified. Use the Inventables
research as stimulus for the brainstorm. Solutions can use materials and
technologies outside of the ones provided by Inventables however the final
solution must incorporate or be inspired by one of the Inventables technologies.
Submit. On no more than two 8.5"x11" PDF pages(with web friendly low-res
images), take your best idea and tell us the story. Email the entry with an
image and thumbnail image in jpg format to contest at inventables dotcom. (If
you win you will be contacted for the hi-res versions)
