Job Description
Communications Core Networks is looking for engineers for its Mobile Switching technical support unit in Beijing, China. He/She is responsible for coordinating and testing SW deliveries to customers as well as providing technical support through ECC process. Technical support engineer defines the content of each SW delivery according to specific customers' needs and tests it in lab environment. This is achieved through detailed SW preparation, test planning, testbed configuration and actual functional testing. Scope of testing can vary from a single correction CN to a completely new software release. Technical support engineer is also responsible for performing pilot upgrades of new SW releases in live network. In technical support area, he/she is part of Nokia End-to-end Customer Care (ECC) process. Therefore he/she is responsible for handling support requests assigned via Electra and acts as a link between front-end customer support personnel and Product Creation. Additionally, he/she may be involved is special projects and troubleshooting activities requiring on-site support. Technical support engineer is accountable for the quality of its output and effectively contributes to team working through proactive coaching, information sharing and the promotion of best practices.

Qualifications
Good knowledge of mobile circuit core networks is required for this position and the ideal candidate has several years of working experience in NSS area. Nevertheless, less experienced but talented and motivated applicants will be highly appreciated. He/She is familiar with 2G networks, is able to troubleshoot fairly complex cases, requires moderate supervision and proactively shares knowledge with his peers. Senior position will require a higher level of competence, more independence and pro-active attitude. Knowledge of Rel4 architecture, 3G networks as well as specific areas of expertice in circuit core will be regarded as a plus. Travel in China and APAC area may be required with little notice for pilot upgrades, support requests and special projects. Interaction with BU and R&D personnel requires a good command of English language.
